Medeama Sporting Club has just wrapped up its intense pre-season training camp in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, ahead of defending the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League title and kicking off the CAF Champions League campaign.

The Mauve and Yellow have drawn DR Congo powerhouse TP Mazembe in the first preliminary round of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League. Head coach Ibrahim Tanko stated that the ultimate goal is to win the trophy.

The first leg will take place at the newly approved TNA Stadium in Tarkwa on 6 September 2026. The return leg is on 13 September in DR Congo.

Club leadership has set a $1.5 million target to drive the team deep into the competition’s group stages.
