Medeama Sporting Club is a professional Ghanaian football club based in Tarkwa in the Western Region. Known proudly as the Mauve and Yellow, the club has established itself as one of Ghana’s most ambitious and successful modern football institutions.
Founded in 2008, the club began its journey in Ghana’s lower divisions before acquiring Kessben FC in 2010. The club subsequently relocated from Abrankese to Tarkwa and adopted the name Medeama Sporting Club in 2011.
Driven by ambition, resilience and the enduring “Never Give Up” spirit, Medeama continues to represent Tarkwa and Ghana with pride at both domestic and continental levels.
Medeama Sporting Club has developed an impressive record of success in Ghanaian football — from an ambitious emerging club into one of the defining forces of modern Ghanaian football.
A historic first league crown. Medeama Sporting Club were crowned Ghana Premier League champions for the first time in the club’s history during the 2022/23 season. The achievement marked a defining moment in the rise of the Mauve and Yellow and secured qualification for the CAF Champions League.
Champions once again. Medeama returned to the summit of Ghanaian football in 2025/26, finishing the season with 62 points and claiming the club’s second Ghana Premier League title.

Medeama Sporting Club will represent Ghana in the 2026/27 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League. The Mauve and Yellow have been drawn against five-time African champions TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo in the First qualifying round.
Head coach Ibrahim Tanko has said the ultimate goal is to win the trophy. Club leadership has set a $1.5 million target to drive the team deep into the group stages. The winner of this tie will progress to face either Club Africain of Tunisia or Djoliba AC of Mali.
TNA Stadium, officially the Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium, is the proud home of Medeama Sporting Club.
Located in Tarkwa, the modern 10,400-seat stadium provides a fitting home for the Mauve and Yellow and their passionate supporters. Its redevelopment has strengthened the club’s match-day experience and created an impressive football venue for domestic and continental competition.
The stadium has received approval to host CAF inter-club matches, allowing Medeama to welcome African opposition to Tarkwa.
