Medeama SC goalkeeper Felix Kyei has expressed deep appreciation to the club’s supporters for their massive turnout during last Saturday’s goalless draw with Bechem United at the TNA Stadium, while offering an honest apology for the team’s inability to secure all three points at home.
Speaking during the post-match interview, the shot-stopper acknowledged the incredible support from the fans, describing it as a huge motivation for the players throughout the game.
“We are very grateful to our supporters for coming in their numbers to back us. Unfortunately, we couldn’t repay them with the full points, and as players we are really sorry,” Kyei said.
The goalkeeper revealed that the mood in the dressing room after full time was “devastating and painful,” as the players felt they had disappointed fans who had high expectations heading into the fixture.
Despite the setback, the Medeama No.1 assured supporters of the team’s full commitment to bouncing back immediately.
“We know how important every point is, and we will do everything possible to fight hard in our upcoming matches to make it up to our supporters,” he added.
Medeama SC remains firmly focused on returning to winning ways as the team continues its push to maintain momentum at the top end of the Ghana Premier League.
