Medeama Set for Grand GPL Coronation Celebration on May 27

Medeama Sporting Club will officially be crowned champions of the 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, in what promises to be a historic and colorful celebration at the TnA Stadium, Tarkwa.

The coronation marks Medeama’s second Premier League title in the club’s history after first lifting the trophy during the memorable 2022/2023 season. The latest triumph also secures the Mauve and Yellows a return to the CAF Champions League next season as Ghana’s representatives.

Coach Ibrahim Tanko and his charges sealed the title in dominant fashion, amassing 62 points while also emerging as the league’s highest-scoring side with an impressive 52 goals.

As part of the celebrations, Medeama will host close-door neighbours Basake Holy Stars in the final league fixture of the season at the TnA Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 5:00pm.
