Medeama Sporting Club delivered a composed and clinical performance to defeat Eleven Wonders 2–0 in Week 27 of the Ghana Premier League, reclaiming the top spot after briefly surrendering it to Bibiani Gold Stars the previous weekend.

The Mauve and Yellows wasted no time asserting dominance, producing a first-half display that ultimately decided the contest.

The breakthrough came through striker Kelvin Obeng, who rose highest to connect brilliantly with a Fatawu Sulemana corner, powering home a header to give Medeama the lead and ignite the TnA Stadium 21 minutes into the game.

With confidence flowing, Medeama continued to press, and their efforts were rewarded again before the break. On the 27th minute Medeama took advantage of a free kick awarded the team, where midfielder Salim Adams unleashed his trademark thunderous strike from distance, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance and doubling the advantage in emphatic fashion.

The two first-half goals proved decisive, as Medeama managed the game professionally in the second half to secure all three points and a crucial clean sheet.

The victory marks a strong response from Coach Ibrahim Tanko’s side, who showed resilience and character to bounce back and reclaim their place at the summit of the league standings after six consecutive league matches without victory.

Attention now turns to the next challenge, as Medeama travel to Bechem to face Bechem United in Week 28 of the Ghana Premier League, with the Mauve and Yellows determined to maintain their momentum and tighten their grip at the top.

A statement win, a return to the summit — Medeama are back in control to fight for the ultimate.
