Medeama Sporting Club will face Attram De Visser in the quarter-finals of the 2025/26 MTN FA Cup after eliminating FC Samartex 1996 in a dramatic Round of 16 encounter at the TnA Stadium.

The tightly contested fixture ended goalless after regulation time, with both sides unable to convert their chances despite moments of attacking promise. The tie was ultimately decided via penalty shootout, where the Mauve and Yellows held their composure to secure qualification.

Goalkeeper Felix Kyei emerged as the hero, saving a crucial penalty before confidently converting the winning kick to send Medeama through, keeping alive the club’s pursuit of another FA Cup title.

Medeama’s journey in this year’s competition began with a commanding victory over Sekondi Rospak SC in the Round of 64, followed by a hard-fought win against Bibiani Gold Stars in the Round of 32, before overcoming Samartex to reach the last eight.

Details regarding the venue and date for the quarter-final clash against Attram De Visser are yet to be confirmed by competition organisers.

With momentum still strong across competitions, Medeama will now shift focus to continuing their quest for silverware as the knockout stages intensify.
