Medeama Sporting Club have announced a formidable squad to face Accra Hearts of Oak in their first game of the year and the final fixture of the first round of the 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League season.

The highly anticipated encounter, scheduled for kick-off at 3:30 PM at the TnA Stadium, Tarkwa, presents another crucial test for the Mauve and Yellows as they seek to extend their impressive 13-match unbeaten run and further solidify their grip at the summit of the GPL table.

Head Coach Ibrahim Tanko has opted for a balanced and experienced line-up, blending defensive solidity with attacking intent, as Medeama look to make a strong statement against the Phobians.

The fixture also carries an added layer of motivation for Medeama, with Hearts of Oak among only two teams—alongside Berekum Chelsea—to have beaten the Mauve and Yellows at the New TnA Stadium, recording a 2–0 victory last season. That result remains fresh in memory and serves as fuel for a Medeama side determined to defend their home turf with authority.

With the league table finely poised and momentum firmly on their side, Medeama SC will be eager to close the first round on a high, delighting their supporters and sending a clear message to the rest of the league.

All eyes now turn to Tarkwa as two giants of Ghanaian football collide in what promises to be a thrilling and decisive contest. 💜💛
