Medeama SC midfielder Fuzzy Taylor delivered a commanding performance on Sunday to earn the NASCO Man of the Match award in the club’s 2–1 victory over Eleven Wonders at the University of Ghana Stadium.
The dynamic box-to-box midfielder was at the heart of Medeama’s dominance, dictating the rhythm of play with his tireless runs, intelligent movement, and crisp passing. His vision and control in midfield continually pushed Medeama forward, providing both defensive cover and attacking impetus throughout the match.
Crucial Assist at a Crucial Moment
Taylor crowned his excellent display with the assist for Medeama’s opening goal. Deep into first-half stoppage time, he delivered a perfectly-weighted corner kick which was expertly met by Godknows Dzakpasu, whose powerful header gave Medeama the lead heading into halftime.
It was a decisive moment that showcased Taylor’s set-piece quality and big-moment temperament.
Delivering on His Promise
Before the trip to Accra, Taylor boldly assured supporters during last Thursday’s pre-match press conference that the team would not return from Accra empty-handed, insisting they would secure at least a point—if not all three.
On Sunday, he backed those words with action.
His leadership in midfield and the consistency of his effort were vital as Medeama held off late pressure from Eleven Wonders to secure the full points and move to 21 points on the league log.
A Growing Influence in Tanko’s System
Under coach Ibrahim Tanko, Taylor continues to flourish as a key figure in Medeama’s midfield structure—driving transitions, supporting attacks, and helping shield the backline when needed. His maturity and work rate have become an invaluable asset in the team’s strong start to the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
Medeama SC will next host Bechem United at the TnA Stadium in Matchday 11, with Taylor expected to play another big role as the team seeks to maintain momentum.
